Once again, in Summer 2020, Year 6 children seeking a place at Tarporley High School seem to be subject to unfair selection criteria. Parish Councillors are pressing Cheshire West and Chester Council, via our borough councillors, to resolve issues concerning free school transport allocation.
These issues are not new, as can be seen from the attached report of a meeting held between Parish Councillors and the school in 2018 to discuss issues regarding Tarvin pupils securing places at the High School.
New homes continue to be built in the catchment area of the high school and outlying villages in that area such as Tarvin will continue to be vulnerable until the issue of rural school capacity in the borough is properly addressed.
